PROJECT
Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold
Fashion schools teach design.
Not production.
College students and recent graduates enter the industry without real-world production experience. The creative industry expects emerging designers, stylists, and photographers to already know how to execute work at professional level. But fashion schools teach design and theory—not production. ✗Graduates don't know how to brief a team ✗They don't understand creative direction ✗They haven't executed their vision at professional scale ✗They lack portfolio work that shows real production ✗They enter the industry unprepared
"To provide equitable, free, professional production education for emerging fashion creatives, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry-level work while building community, fostering artistic expression, and supporting the emotional and social well-being of young artists."

NEP exists to help college creatives and recent graduates
gain real-world production experience before
entering the creative industry.
Free. Monthly. In Ohio.
This is the gap
NEP exists to fill.
-
NEP teaches production literacy—skills that fashion schools don't teach. Creative direction and visual storytelling. How to brief a team on creative vision. Real-world production constraints and problem-solving. Photography, styling, and design at professional level. How to execute your vision, not just conceive it.
-
Zero commercial pressure. Freedom to experiment and fail. Exposure to different creative perspectives. Collaboration instead of competition. Permission to push boundaries artistically. Designers explore concepts without fear of market viability. Stylists develop personal visual language. Photographers experiment with direction and concept.
-
Depression and anxiety are rampant in creative fields. Young artists feel like imposters—no mentorship, no peer support, constant competition, burnout from isolation. NEP builds community. You work together. You give and receive honest feedback in a supportive space. You belong here.
